Head Coach Martin has been coaching soccer since 2007, and has spent his entire coaching career helping to build the SPHS Boys and Girls soccer programs from the ground up. Martin has now built a 129-115-10 overall record at the school and has featured in the NCHSAA State Playoffs on multiple occasions with his teams, and has reached the 2nd round twice with wins over Wallace Rose-Hill and James Kenan High School.
Martin played his high school soccer at Lumberton Sr. High School, and spent his college career at UNCW where he earned his Bachelors of Science in Chemistry. Rediscovering his love for soccer in 2007, Martin returned to the game as a volunteer youth coach. Since then he hasn't been able to let the game go. An avid Liverpool fan, if not the biggest, Martin is totally immersed in the game of soccer. With this Soccer Club he is looking to help build the game in Robeson County to one that will be well respected for many reasons at the state level.
Martin is an active member of the Coaching Community as he is the NC Soccer Coaches Association's 2A Region 6 Regional Chairman, and also a member of both USSF and United Soccer Coaches associations..
