WHAT ARE TRAVEL TEAMS?
Travel Teams are teams that are members of The NC Youth Soccer Association (NCYSA) Classic Travel Soccer Program.
NCYSA is North Carolina's affiliate of US Youth Soccer. Our travel teams compete in the 1st/2nd/3rd Division of NCYSA, as well as an annual tournament for each team.
Coached by licensed staff, these teams train 2-3 times weekly, play 8-10 league games, and attend at least one tournament during their season (Fall/Spring). Participation by team, requires commitment for either fall or spring.
TRYOUTS FOR 2026-2027
All players must attend their age-specific tryouts. Dates can be found here: CLICK HERE FOR TRYOUT DATES, TIMES AND LOCATIONS.
Regular registration is $20, and late/on-site registration is $40.
After tryouts, selected players will be notified via PlayMetrics to join a team. Once they accept their position and make payment through PlayMetrics, they will begin monthly payments for the season.
PLAY OTHER CLUBS WHILE REPRESENTING YOUR OWN CITY
Playing with our Travel Teams Program gives players a chance to play someone outside of their social circle, much like the real game.

SEASONAL DATES
Please be aware of the following information:
- U11-U14 Boys/Girls play a FALL SEASON ONLY.
- U15-U19 Girls play FALL SEASON ONLY.
- U15-U19 Boys play SPRING SEASON ONLY.
TOURNAMENT ENTRY
Players in our Classic Program teams will have the option to enter into the "Kepner Presidents Cup" or the "USYS State Cup" based on their ability during the Classic League season. These are the top tournaments in the state, exclusive to NCYSA affiliated teams.
All teams can participate in one of these tournaments if they choose to do so, at no extra charge. Teams can also choose to attend a lesser tournament in place of the State Cup/Kepner Cup series if they choose. However, if a team chooses to enter an additional tournament (2nd tournament) during the year, there may be a fee of $50-$60 per player, decided by the team, parents, and coach.
